Good 2GIG TS1 Alternative for CheapInitial Review: 4/23/18The PAD1 is easy to install, but programming it could be a pain for some not familiar with the 2GIG GoControl Panels GC2 or GC3. The PAD1 operates on RF, like a door contact sensor, and can’t be just learned into a panel like a Z-Wave device, think door locks and thermostats. Also, only the wall mounting instructions come with the PAD1 so you need to use the appropriate 2GIG panel user guide to program the PAD1 into your alarm system. A big gripe about the panel is that it is only a transmitter which does not allow it is chime or notify the user that their system has been armed or disarmed. Lastly, I placed mine in our garage for those times when my phone dies and I can’t use the phone app to disarm my house.

Works PerfectlyNot sure why this panel only received 3 stars from others. It’s a very economical panel that runs off of coin cell batteries with no outside power needed. Therefore, you can slap it anywhere on any wall! If it was constantly communicating system status with the main panel, it would eat through batteries or require a constant power source. It’s 800Mhz, so the range is farther than the Z-wave components of the 2GIG system. Essentially, it’s a wall-mounted KeyFob! Instead of pressing Home->Security->Arm->Stay on the LCD main panel, you simply press “STAY” on this panel. Instead of pressing Home->Security->Disarm->[PIN CODE], you press your PIN CODE. We have a dog, and every time we let him out, we can use this remote pad to disarm/arm the system right by the back door instead of walking all the way across the house.If you want system status, enable messaging on the web-interface with your alarm company, and you’ll get the ARM/DISARM confirmations to your cell phone.

Amazing keypad, Great price and just want i needed!This is perfect for what I needed! I wanted another Keypad for my back door but did not want to spend a lot of money and this wireless keypad solved that issue. It was easy to set up with my 2gig alarm system and the best thing about it is that it is wireless so no need to run any wires or plug anything in. I am very happy with this product!

works pretty well. Wish it had alarm stayworks pretty well. Wish it had alarm stay, no entry delay switch, but overall pretty good. It occasionally has some signal loss since it’s in the basement, but if it doesn’t catch the first time I punch code in, it always takes the second. And I only have to punch it twice about once every 25 tries.

The keypad connected easily with my 2gig panel and has been reliableThis is fabulous. The keypad connected easily with my 2gig panel and has been reliable. I purchased it because I didn’t want to wall mount the main 2gig panel and have a power cord hanging, while this keypad is battery operated. There is NO feedback provided by the device, so I’d recommend installing it somewhere where you can still hear the other panel verbally announce that the system is armed or disarmed.
