Must Have Matching Firmware To Work…I bought two of these back in August of 2012, and have just now gotten around to hooking them up. As it turns out, I can see the basic status of my alarm system, but can’t disarm it, look at the date/time, or see any services. The GoControl panel is version 1.9, and the TS1s are version 1.8, so the compatibility is limited. Guess now, I have to figure out how to get the TS1s updated to version 1.9. This would have been some good information to know, BEFORE buying the panels. Should have been in the description.Update: I got the two new panels updated by a tech that actually knew what he was doing (it was an over the air (OTA)) update, and the tech needed to make that happen. Vivint tech support was of no help; it never got to the tech for two attempts, then the tech was nice enough to call before coming out and creating a $50 charge, and did everything over the phone… Anyway, ever since having the panels updated, they work like a champ! Love it!

Needs 900 MHZ trancieverWorks great once I replaced the 340 mhx tranciever inside the 2gig master panel. I dud purchase the 900 MHZ one cause I thought I needdd if and was correct. The touch screen keypad arrived new in the box and works flawlessly. Very happy with purchase. They should tell you that the upgrade 900 MHZ tranciever is required. I only guessed it was needed when I looked at what other people ordered with this touch screen and it worked out for me.

Works like a charmEasy to upgrade and add to my existing keypad. No problem to install. Side note. This does not come with any wires for the power supply so you have to make sure you have some to complete the install. Took one star off because of the missing wiring.

Best system on the marketLearning curve is a little challenging. I would have given five stars if it was not hard to upgrade the firmware in order to make sure they communicate with the main box. I bought a doorbell to ring throughout the house. This things has so many things you can add to it that you will have all basis covered.

Great add on!If you would like a secondary panel for your 2gig alarm system this is the way to go. A few warnings however: do make sure that your alarm panel is equipped with the necessary 900mhz module – if not there are kits available (TS1 and the module) for about 30$ more. If the TS1 you bought has a newer firmware installed than the main 2gig panel they will not pair! However, update of your panel is possible by remote from your monitoring company or from an installer locally. Should your main 2gig panel have a newer firmware than the TS1 it will automatically update the TS1 to the same firmware and everything will function as advertised. Update may take up to 4hrs – be patient.

Good Addition to Our SystemGood remote panel to connect to our main panel. As everyone else said though it has to be on the same firmware as the panel otherwise it won’t communicate properly. This remote had more up to date firmware than my main panel and it required a OTA push to my main panel to update the firmware and finally get this remote communicating with the main panel. A bit of lag between the button push and main panel response but that is to be expected with the 900MHz relay.

What can i say, does what i need it to doTS1 came with version 1.10 from amazon directly… my panel was 1.9.6 so didnt like eachother until i had alarm company update my main unit to 1.10. once that was done, it was a breeze…i mainly wanted a speaker near my kitchen so i can hear all entry points if opened/close and this works really well…. would buy another if needed….
